Gajar Halwa Recipe – Carrot Halwa – Indian Dessert

Ingredients
Gajar (Carrot) – 500 (Grated)
Milk – ½ Liter
Sugar – 1Cup Sugar (vary according to the taste of carrot)
Ghee – 2 ½ Table Spoon
Khas Khas – ½ tea spoon (Poppy Seeds)
Cloves – 2 -3
Cardamom Powder (as per taste)
Dry Fruits
Method of cooking Gajar Halwa
- Take 2 tablespoon ghee in a deep frying pan on medium heat
- Add cloves to it and add grated carrots, stir for 8-10 minutes on medium flame
- Add sugar to it and mix it well, cook for 2-3 minute
- Pour milk to the mix and cook it till it start simmering
- Keep the flame low and cook until milk get evaporated and the quantity reduce to nearly half
- Add dry fruits and cardamom powder to it and cook it for 5-7 minutes
- Take ½ table spoon ghee in a tadka pan and heat it and Add Khas khas in the ghee till it crackle
- Khas khas should get fried and not be raw, but make sure not to burn them
- Add this to Halwa and stir well for 4-5 minutes on low flame
- Your delicious Gajar Halwa is ready to serve
- Serve it HOT or CLOD however you like it.
